One arrested, second sought after violent robbery

The Windsor Police Service has arrested one suspect and is seeking a second following a violent robbery that left a woman injured.

Shortly before 2 p.m. on June 16, 2026, officers responded to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Tuscarora Street after receiving reports of a robbery. Officers learned that a woman was riding her bicycle when she was confronted by two male suspects known to her. One suspect knocked her off her bicycle and yelled, "get her." 

As the victim attempted to run away, she was struck in the head with a metal water bottle. The suspects then stole cash and an MP3 player before fleeing the area.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly identified the suspects. A short time later, officers located and arrested one suspect in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue.

Michael Jordan Coates, 36, has been charged with robbery with violence.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Patrick Gregory McFadden, 27, on the following charges:

• Robbery with violence

• Assault with a weapon

• Disobeying a lawful order of court
