Impaired motorist arrested after vehicle strikes utility pole
The Windsor Police Service has charged a 26-year-old man with impaired driving following a vehicle collision in east Windsor.
Just before 5 a.m. on December 12, 2025, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Lauzon Road and Wyandotte Street East. Upon arrival, they learned a white SUV had struck a utility pole, causing the vehicle to flip on its side.
No physical injuries were reported.
While speaking with the driver, officers detected an odour of alcohol on his breath and observed other signs of impairment.
He was arrested and transported to Windsor Police headquarters, where he subsequently failed a breath test.
Senan Mousa, 26, has been charged with:
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
- Impaired operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit
From now until January 1, 2026, motorists can expect to see an increased police presence throughout Windsor and Amherstburg as part of the annual #FestiveRIDE campaign.
