Man charged after blowing over three times legal limit

The Windsor Police Service has charged a 35-year-old man with impaired driving after he struck a parked vehicle and was found to have more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on October 29, 2026, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 1900 block of Jefferson Street. An investigation determined that the suspect had been driving erratically, causing other motorists to drive over a curb to avoid being struck. The suspect then collided with a parked vehicle, pushing it into a second parked vehicle.

When speaking to the motorist, officers observed signs of impairment and arrested the man without incident. The suspect's vehicle and one of the parked vehicles were towed from the scene.

The suspect was transported to Windsor Police headquarters, where he provided a breath sample that exceeded the testing instrument's measurement capacity, indicating an apparent blood alcohol concentration above 300 mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood.

James D. Temporal, 35, has been charged with impaired driving.
