Police arrest suspect after armed robbery

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery at a business.

Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on October 27, 2026, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a store in the 2400 block of Dougall Avenue. Officers learned that the suspect concealed approximately $100 worth of merchandise and left the business without attempting to pay. When two employees confronted him outside, the suspect brandished a knife toward them before fleeing on foot.

Officers quickly located and arrested the suspect in the 2400 block of Dougall Avenue.

Jordan Scott Runstedler, 40, has been charged with: 

• Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace 

• Assault with a weapon (x2) 

• Theft under $5,000
