Police seek suspect after sexual assault
The Windsor Police Service is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on October 1, 2026, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 3600 block of Wyandotte Street East. Upon arrival, officers located a woman in distress.
An investigation determined the woman had accepted a ride from an unknown male driving a newer-model, light-coloured compact SUV near Wyandotte Street East and Marentette Avenue. The suspect reportedly drove the woman to a nearby commercial parking lot, where he physically and sexually assaulted her.
The victim was ejected from the vehicle as the suspect sped off, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Middle Eastern male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, standing 5'4" to 5'5" tall, with a slender build, side-parted hair, no facial hair, and a slight accent.
Investigators with the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit reviewed available surveillance footage and located video of the suspect vehicle in the area. The video is being released in the hope that someone may recognize the vehicle or help identify the suspect.
The suspect is wanted on charges of sexual assault, assault, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
