Teen seriously injured in e-scooter collision

A teenage boy is in hospital with significant injuries following a collision involving a motor vehicle and an e-scooter.

Shortly before 10 a.m. on September 29, 2026, officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Ontario Street and Ford Boulevard. An initial investigation determined that a motorist was driving southbound on Ford Boulevard when their vehicle collided with an e-scooter being ridden by the 15-year-old victim, who was travelling westbound on Ontario Street. 

The victim was transported to hospital and remains in serious condition.

The driver, who remained at the scene, did not sustain any physical injuries.
