Fatal vehicle collision under investigation

The Windsor Police Service is investigating a two-vehicle collision that left one person deceased.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on September 28, 2026, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision in the area of Cabana Road West and Rankin Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a white sedan with significant front-end damage and a white pickup truck that had overturned onto its side.

The driver of the sedan, an adult male, was transported to hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased.

The occupants of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing. Members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit have attended the scene as part of the investigation.
