Police stop break-and-enter in progress

The Windsor Police Service has charged three suspects after officers interrupted a break-and-enter in progress.

On September 24, 2026, shortly after 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in at a fenced-in vacant property in the 700 block of Felix Avenue. Officers arrived at the property and located three individuals who had unlawfully entered the site. The suspects were allegedly attempting to leave with a metal light pole they had cut down using a saw.

The pole was dragged through an opening in the chain-link fence and into the rear alleyway south of the property. Officers arrested all three suspects at the scene.

Several tools were seized during the investigation, including two cordless reciprocating saws.

Arthur Francis Holland, 37, Jessica Dawn Meloche, 32, and Daniel Conrad Sterling, 44, have each been charged with break-and-enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and mischief to property under $5,000.

Sterling also faces an additional charge of possession of break-in instruments.
