Two arrested, one sought after police interrupt break-and-enter 

The Windsor Police Service has arrested two suspects and is seeking a third after officers interrupted a residential break-and-enter in progress.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on September 22, 2026, officers were dispatched to a break-and-enter in progress at a home in the 1600 block of Howard Avenue. Upon arrival, officers quickly located and arrested two suspects in an alley behind the residence.

Through investigation, officers learned that three suspects entered the premises, damaged wiring and lighting fixtures, and tampered with an air conditioning unit. One suspect was also found carrying a bag containing copper wiring and a copper pipe.

Michael Semenec, 53, has been charged with: 

Break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence

Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Amber Fitzgerald, 48, has been charged with break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence. 

The third suspect fled the area before police arrived and remains outstanding.
