Assisted living worker arrested after $35,000 theft  

An assisted living worker has been arrested following the theft of approximately $35,000 in cash and valuables from a patient’s residence.  

On September 14, 2026, Windsor Police responded to a report of theft at a private residence. Through investigation, officers learned that the victim was hospitalized for an extended period in the summer of 2026. Surveillance footage allegedly revealed the victim’s assisted living worker entering the home without permission during this period and leaving with the cash and valuables. 

 Additionally, the building’s surveillance hard drive had been stolen.  

On September 14, officers located and arrested the suspect in the city’s west end. Steven Paul Enriquez, 51, has been charged with break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence (x 2).
