Assault suspect arrested for breaching bail conditions

A 47-year-old man facing numerous assault-related charges has been arrested for breaching his court-ordered conditions less than 24 hours after being released on bail.

On September 3, 2026, Farshid Roushan was granted bail on charges including assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, choking, uttering threats to cause death, mischief, breach of probation, and failure to comply with a release order. As part of his release, Roushan was required to comply with several court-ordered conditions while in the community, including house arrest and electronic monitoring.

Following an investigation, Windsor Police bail compliance officers determined that Roushan had breached his release conditions less than 24 hours after being released.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on September 11, bail compliance officers, with assistance from the OPP-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad, located and arrested Roushan at a residence in the 3800 block of Howard Avenue.

Roushan has been charged with 12 counts of failure to comply with a release order.

The bail compliance officers are part of the Offender Management Unit, which supervises high-risk individuals subject to house arrest, curfews, and electronic monitoring.
