Man charged in teen sexual assault, police seek other victims

The Windsor Police Service has charged a 47-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of a teenager, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.

In July 2026, members of the Windsor Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) began an investigation after receiving report of a sexual assault involving a 16-year-old boy. Investigators learned that the victim had met a man at a fitness facility in the 7100 block of Enterprise Way during the summer of 2025. 

The man reportedly invited the teenager to his residence, where he provided him with alcohol. After the teenager became intoxicated, the suspect sexually assaulted him. The teenager was eventually able to leave the residence and return home.

The victim later disclosed the incident to his parents, who contacted police.

On August 21, 2026, Jomar Paringit Velasquez, 47, who is also known as “Tito,” turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters. He has been charged with sexual assault.

To protect the identity of the victim, no further details will be released at this time.
