Police arrest one suspect, seek second after firearm and drug seizure

The Windsor Police Service has arrested one suspect and is seeking a second following the seizure of a loaded firearm and over $7,000 in illegal drugs.

In August 2026, members of the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS) began an investigation into an individual suspected of trafficking illegal drugs. As a result of the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 100 block of Montrose Street and an associated vehicle.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on September 2, 2026, members of the Windsor Police Emergency Services Unit (ESU) entered the residence to execute the warrant.

Upon entry, officers arrested a 23-year-old man. A search of the residence and vehicle returned 45.1 grams of cocaine, 45.7 grams of fentanyl, a loaded A-75 .45-calibre handgun, a .45-calibre magazine and ammunition, $164 in Canadian currency, $25 in U.S. currency, two cellular phones, and three digital scales.

The total street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $7,252.

Isiah Stephens-Scott, 23, has been charged with:

•    Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 2) 

•    Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm 

•    Possession of a prohibited firearm without a licence 

•    Contravene section 117(H) of the Firearms Act Reguulation

•    Possession of a firearm while prohibited (x 12) 

•    Failure to comply with a probation order (x 4) 

•    Failure to comply with a release order 

An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect connected to the investigation. Kaelyn Cazabon, 21, is wanted for the following: 

•    Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 2) 

•    Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm 

•    Possession of a prohibited firearm without a licence 

•    Unsafe storage of a firearm 

•    Possession of a firearm while prohibited

•    Possession of ammunition while prohibited

•    Failure to comply with a release order
