Three charged following fentanyl trafficking investigation 

The Windsor Police Service has charged three men and seized over 120 grams of suspected fentanyl following a drug trafficking investigation. 

In July 2026, members of the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) launched an investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the City of Windsor. 

Shortly before 10 p.m. on August 27, 2026, members of the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3500 block of Longfellow Avenue. Three suspects were located inside and arrested. 

During a search of the residence, DIGS officers seized 123.2 grams of fentanyl, as well as eight cellphones, drug packaging materials, and a digital scale. 

Marquess Griffith, 27, Deandre Glaves, 31, and Tremain Gittens, 38, have each been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely fentanyl. 

Glaves was additionally charged with failure to comply with a release order (x 3).
