Man charged after overnight stabbing

The Windsor Police Service has charged a 23-year-old man in connection with an overnight stabbing.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on August 22, 2026, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Wyandotte Street West and Pelissier Street. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man in an alleyway with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined that two groups had been involved in an altercation, and that the victim was stabbed during the incident.

Officers quickly located and arrested a suspect near Pelissier Street and Elliott Street West.

K9 Officer Link was deployed to assist with the investigation and located a knife hidden underneath a vehicle near the scene.

Jalen Anthony Lynch, 23, has been charged with aggravated assault.
