Woman charged after children assaulted at lemonade stand
The Windsor Police Service has charged a 61-year-old woman following an assault involving two children running a lemonade stand in Walkerville.
On August 3, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault in the 900 block of Gladstone Avenue. Once on scene, officers learned that an eight-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy had set up a lemonade stand near the intersection of Gladstone Avenue and Niagara Street when a woman approached the stand and became hostile toward them.
The woman reportedly pushed one child and flipped the other child’s chair, causing him to fall to the ground. Both children sustained minor injuries.
Later that night, officers located and arrested a suspect at a residence in the 1200 block of Niagara Street.
Carrie-Lynn Pace, 61, has been charged with two counts of assault.
