After seeing our social media post seeking to identify him, Pierre Bourassa, 54, turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters shortly after 10 a.m. on August 20, 2026.
Bourassa is charged with mischief not exceeding $5,000.

UPDATE: Suspect sought in Bird e-scooter thefts
The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in connection with the theft of several Bird e-scooters.
On August 5, 2026, officers began investigating after receiving reports that multiple Bird e-scooters had been stolen from multiple locations across Windsor. As part of the investigation, officers obtained surveillance video from the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue showing a suspect taking several e-scooters from the area.
One of the stolen e-scooters was later recovered cut in half in an alley near the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white male with a heavy build. At the time of the offences, he was wearing dark pants, a blue shirt, and a baseball hat.
