Case #: 26-45302
Nurse charged with assaulting special needs child
The Windsor Police Service has charged a registered nurse in connection with the alleged assault of a child with special needs who was under her care.
In April 2026, members of the Windsor Police Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) launched an investigation after receiving a report concerning the alleged mistreatment of a child with significant medical needs.
Through their investigation, officers learned that the allegations involved a registered nurse who had been assigned to provide care to the child. Investigators subsequently determined that there was sufficient evidence to believe that in April 2026, the child was physically assaulted while under the nurse’s care.
As a result of the investigation, Jennifer Robin Pye, 51, has been arrested and charged with assault.
Additional information regarding the investigation cannot be provided to protect the identity of the victim.
