13-year-old charged after east Windsor stabbing 

The Windsor Police Service has charged a 13-year-old boy after a youth was stabbed during an altercation in east Windsor. 

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on August 7, 2026, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 3000 block of Jefferson Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male suffering from injuries consistent with stab wounds. 

The investigation determined that the victim and accused, who are known to each other, became involved in an altercation at a residence. During the incident, the accused allegedly used an edged weapon, causing injuries to the victim. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. 

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officers located and arrested the suspect at a residence in east Windsor shortly before 4 a.m. 

The 13-year-old youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with: 

• Assault with a weapon 
• Assault causing bodily harm 
• Failure to comply with a release order
