Man charged after two violent sexual assaults
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 66-year-old man in connection with two violent sexual assaults.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on July 31, 2026, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault in the 1000 block of Goyeau Street. Investigators determined that the victim had accompanied the suspect to his residence, where he became aggressive and violent. The victim was restrained with rope, repeatedly struck with fists and a metal bar, threatened with a knife, robbed, and sexually assaulted multiple times. The suspect also threatened to kill her if she told anyone what had happened.
The victim was eventually released and attended hospital for treatment before contacting police.
Members of the Windsor Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit quickly identified the suspect.
Investigators also linked the suspect to a second incident earlier the same day. In that case, a woman reported that she was riding in an elevator when the suspect entered and touched her inappropriately. The victim was able to push him away.
