One arrested, additional suspects sought in firearm investigation
The Windsor Police Service has arrested one suspect and is seeking others after a cyclist was shot with an airsoft rifle.
On June 24, 2026, police responded to a report of an assault in the city’s west end. Officers learned that the victim was riding his bike in the intersection of Wyandotte Street West at Crawford Avenue at approximately 4:45 p.m. when he was shot multiple times by an airsoft rifle. Through investigation, officers learned that the shots were fired from a stolen 2025 Toyota RAV4.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries in the incident.
Shortly after 11 p.m. that evening, the Windsor Police Target Base Unit located and recovered the stolen vehicle in the 900 block of Church Street. The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Robert Aldana, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Officers continue to seek the suspects involved in the airsoft firearm assault.
Anyone who lives in the area and has surveillance or dashcam footage is asked to review their recordings and contact investigators if anything suspicious was captured.
