Suspect arrested, drugs and cash seized in trafficking investigation

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 37-year-old man and seized drugs, cash, and trafficking paraphernalia following an investigation into suspected street-level drug trafficking.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 18, 2026, a community member approached nearby patrol officers to report suspected drug sales in the 800 block of Ouellette Ave. The suspect fled the area during the report; however, police obtained a description of the individual.

A few hours later, patrol officers observed a man matching the suspect’s description in the 100 block of Wyandotte St. E. Police witnessed the man conducting suspected hand-to-hand drug transactions consistent with street-level trafficking.

Officers arrested the suspect without incident and seized:

  • 123.7 grams of fentanyl 
  • 34 hydromorphone tablets 
  • 93 clonazepam tablets 
  • $3,875 in Canadian currency 
  • A digital scale 
  • Debt lists 
  • Packaging materials 

Kyle James Crawford, 37, has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
