Two youths arrested following stabbing

The Windsor Police Service has arrested two youths following a stabbing in the city’s west end.

Shortly after 11 a.m. on June 16, 2026, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Huron Church Road and Tecumseh Road West. Once on scene, officers learned that a group of youths had arranged to meet for a fight. During the altercation, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed an 18-year-old man.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly identified, located, and arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.

Two youths, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have each been charged with:

•    Assault with a weapon 

•    Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose 

The investigation remains ongoing.
