Man charged with sexual assault of a minor

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of a minor.

On June 7, 2026, shortly after 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of St. Luke Road. Once on scene, officers learned that a 15-year-old girl had been led by a male acquaintance to a secluded area in a nearby park, where she was sexually assaulted.

During the incident, the suspect struck the victim in the face when she asked him to stop. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.

Shortly after 9 p.m., officers located and arrested the suspect a short distance from the area.

Benson William Moroz, 21, has been charged with:

-Sexual assault

-Sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age

-Assault
