Suspect sought after teen injured in assault

The Windsor Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect following an assault that injured a 16-year-old.  

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on May 11, 2026, officers responded to a report of an assault in the 4800 block of Wyandotte Street East. 

Through investigation, officers learned that a group of teenagers was walking to a nearby restaurant when a red Ford Mustang convertible drove by them erratically.  An argument ensued between one of the teens and a person in the vehicle, at which point the car turned around and entered the restaurant parking lot. 

The suspect then exited the vehicle and engaged in a physical fight with the victim. Following the assault, the suspect fled on foot westbound on Wyandotte Street East. The vehicle also left the area, travelling westbound on Wyandotte Street East. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threating injuries.  

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, approximately 20 to 25 years of age. He is wanted on a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
