Police arrest two suspects, recover stolen vehicle and drugs
The Windsor Police Service has arrested two men after recovering a stolen vehicle and seizing a quantity of drugs.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on May 3, 2026, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue after a report that two men inside a vehicle appeared to be unresponsive. When officers arrived, they confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day. They found two men slumped over in the driver and passenger seats. Drug paraphernalia and suspected fentanyl were visible inside the vehicle.
Officers woke both individuals and safely removed them from the vehicle. The driver was arrested without incident.
During a search of the driver, officers found multiple suspected drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia and a digital scale. More suspected fentanyl was later located on the passenger, and he was subsequently arrested.
The keys were in the ignition, but the vehicle had been parked for an extended period, and the battery had died, leaving it inoperable. The vehicle was recovered and towed.
Patrick Charles Renaud, 49, and Jesse Jahn, 38, have each been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Renaud Is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
