UPDATE: Suspect facing first-degree murder charge
An 18-year-old man is facing first-degree murder following the fatal stabbing of a teenager.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on April 26, 2026, officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon in the 300 block of Tecumseh Road East. Once on scene, they located a 16-year-old male suffering from a stab wound.
Officers immediately initiated life-saving measures, including CPR, until emergency medical services arrived. The victim was then transported to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Officers quickly tracked down and arrested the suspect at a residence in 1500 block of Goyeau Street. An 18 year old man is facing charges of first-degree murder, uttering death threats, and wearing a facemask in the commission of an offence.
This is the second homicide recorded in Windsor in 2026.
The suspect's name will be released once he has attended his first court appearance.
