Two arrested, $15,000 in drugs seized 


The Windsor Police Service has arrested two individuals and seized over $15,000 in drugs following an investigation by the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS). 

Earlier this month, DIGS members launched an investigation into two individuals suspected of trafficking illegal drugs. On April 15, 2026, shortly after 7 p.m., officers located and arrested both suspects at a residence in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. While searching one of the suspects, officers seized 16 hydromorphone tablets and $400 in Canadian currency.

With the assistance of K9 officer Smoke, officers then executed a search warrant at the house. Investigators seized 110 grams of fentanyl, 10.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 442 hydromorphone tablets, 56 oxycodone tablets, and 8 bottles of liquid methadone. They also recovered $5,900 in Canadian currency, $655 in U.S. currency, two digital scales, and packaging materials.

The total estimated street value of the seized drugs exceeds $15,000.

Michael Beecroft, 55, has been charged with:

•    Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x7)

•    Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited (x2)

•    Operation of a motor vehicle while disqualified (x2)

Bonnie Prestanski, 43, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x6) and failure to comply with a release order.
