Two motorists charged with impaired driving


The Windsor Police Service has arrested two motorists for impaired driving in separate incidents.

Shortly after 7 a.m. on April 15, 2026, officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver who had driven through a construction site in the 6200 block of Tecumseh Rd. E. Upon arrival, officers located a female driver. While speaking with the driver, officers observed several signs of impairment and placed her under arrest. She was transported to police headquarters where she failed a breath test.

Cristina Manu, 26, has been charged with:

•    Impaired operation of a conveyance

•    Impaired operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit

 Approximately four hours later, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Walker Rd. for another possible impaired driver. When officers arrived, they located a male driver asleep behind the wheel. While speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment and observed drug paraphernalia scattered in the vehicle. The driver subsequently failed a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluation and was arrested.

Bradley Scott Bernatchez, 29, has been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance by drug.
