Police seek suspect who brandished knife in restaurant


The Windsor Police Service is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect who brandished a knife during an incident inside a restaurant.

At approximately 12:00 p.m. on April 3, 2026, officers responded to a report of a man with a knife at an establishment in the 90 block of Wyandotte Street East. Officers learned that the suspect became involved in an argument with employees after being asked to leave for violating restaurant rules. He then brandished a black fixed-blade knife approximately six inches long before fleeing the scene.

No physical injuries were reported.

The suspect is wanted for assault with a weapon. He is described as a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years old, with long grey hair and a partial beard. At the time of the incident, he wore blue jeans, a grey long sleeve shirt and beige vest, bracelets, a black watch, a black backpack, and black sunglasses on his head. He was riding a silver and black bicycle with a silver bell and a basket containing a yellow and black power tool.
