Three impaired drivers arrested in four hours
The Windsor Police Service arrested three people for impaired driving in four hours.
On March 21, 2026, shortly after 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the Ambassador Bridge after receiving reports of an American driver yelling, honking, and attempting to make a U-turn back toward the United States (Case #26-29817).
Officers located the vehicle and arrested the driver after detecting an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment. He was transported to police headquarters, where he failed a breath test.
Christopher Stevenson, 34, has been charged with impaired operation and operating a vehicle over the legal limit.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on March 22, 2026, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 3800 block of Wyandotte Street East (Case #26-29843). After officers detected an odour of alcohol on one of the drivers, she was given a roadside breath test, which resulted in a “fail.” The driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she again failed a breath test.
Chantal Lise Thompson, 30, has been charged with operating a vehicle over the legal limit.
Shortly thereafter, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision after a vehicle was found in a ditch in the area of Plymouth Drive at Tourangeau Road (Case #26-29861). While speaking with the driver, officers detected an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she failed a breath test.
Elisa Vasilciuc, 22, has been charged with impaired operation and operating a vehicle over the legal limit.
