Police seize over $440,000 in cash and drugs, thwart break-in attempt

The Windsor Police Service has charged one suspect after seizing over $130,000 in illegal drugs and more than $300,000 in cash. Two others were arrested the following morning after shots were fired during an attempted break-in at a related residence.

Members of the Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) arrested a 42-year-old man in the 2500 block of Ouellette Avenue on March 5, 2026 after an investigation into drug trafficking. Incident to the arrest, officers seized a cellphone and $4,360 CAD and $60 USD in cash.

Officers then executed a search warrant at a house in the 1800 block of Factoria Road. The search returned $308,900 CAD in cash, 942 oxycodone tablets (various dosages), 1,142 hydromorphone tablets and capsules (various dosages), 9.1 grams of broken hydromorphone capsules, four Suboxone tablets, and four 100 mL bottles of methadone. Officers also seized a prohibited knife and three replica firearms.

A subsequent search of the suspect’s vehicle returned 22.3 grams of cocaine, 1,859 oxycodone tablets (various dosages), 181 hydromorphone tablets, 132 hydromorphone capsules (various dosages), and 27 amphetamine capsules. A digital scale, drug packaging materials, and $685 CAD were also seized.

The total value of drugs seized was approximately $131,227.

A 42-year-old man faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 14)
  • Possession of a restricted or prohibited weapon
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized (x 2) 
  • Possession of the proceeds of crime

At approximately 2:30 a.m. the following morning, officers responded to a report of gunshots and an attempted break-in at the Factoria Road residence. Officers quickly arrived on scene and observed several suspects fleeing on foot. As officers pursued the suspects, additional gunshots were heard. 

Following a brief search of the area, officers located and arrested two suspects without further incident. A loaded firearm was recovered in a nearby alley. 

Nicholas Tudorica, 23, has been charged with:

  • Attempted break-and-enter at a dwelling-house
  • Discharging a firearm into a place reckless to others
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm without holding a licence
  • Unlicensed person possessing a prohibited / restricted weapon
  • Possession of a loaded regulated firearm
  • Contravening section 117(H) Firearms Act Regulation

Juquwan Mclean, 31, has been charged with attempted break-and-enter at a dwelling-house.

Investigators believe two additional suspects were involved in the attempted break-in and remain outstanding.
