Man facing 19 charges after knife incident


A 41-year-old man is facing 19 criminal charges following an incident involving a knife.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on February 27, 2026, officers responded to a report of a man with a weapon near the intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Giles Boulevard. An investigation determined that an individual was approaching their vehicle in a nearby parking lot when they were confronted by a masked man carrying a hunting knife. The suspect allegedly yelled at the individual and pointed the knife in their direction. The individual entered their vehicle and fled the scene as the suspect pursued on foot.

Officers quickly located a suspect matching the description provided on Dufferin Place, where he was arrested without incident. The hunting knife was recovered.

Christopher Ryan Larkin, 41, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to an order (x9)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Breach of a probation order (x5)
