Break-in suspect arrested, property recovered
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 37-year-old man and recovered nearly $16,000 in stolen property following a commercial break-and-enter.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on February 23, 2026, officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business in the 2200 block of Huron Church Road. Officers learned the suspect smashed a window to gain entry and then unlocked a door to access the building.
Once inside, he stole power tools and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The suspect then left the property, walking along Huron Church Road while pushing the stolen motorcycle and carrying the tools.
Within 15 minutes of arriving on scene, officers tracked down the suspect in the area of Daytona Avenue and Kenora Street and arrested him without incident.
The total value of the stolen property is estimated at $15,600. All items were recovered and returned to the business.
Devin Allan Johns, 37, has been charged with:
• Break-and-enter and commit place other than dwelling
• Theft of a motor vehicle
• Possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000
• Possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000
