Bicyclist critically injured in vehicle collision


The Windsor Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision that left a bicyclist with life-threatening injuries.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on February 21, 2026, officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the 400 block of Tecumseh Road East. A preliminary investigation determined that a motorist was travelling westbound on Tecumseh Rd. E. with he collided with a man on a bicycle.

The 28-year-old victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene.

The westbound lanes of Tecumseh Road East were closed between Howard Avenue and Highland Avenue for several hours while members of the Windsor Police Service Traffic Reconstruction Unit conducted their investigation. The roadway has since been reopened.
