Woman in critical condition after three-vehicle collision


An elderly woman is in critical condition following a three-vehicle collision in Amherstburg.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on January 4, 2026, members of the Windsor Police Service’s Amherstburg Detachment responded to a report of a collision at Front Road North and Kingsbridge Drive. The investigation determined that a vehicle attempting a left turn entered the path of an oncoming vehicle with the right of way. The impact pushed the turning vehicle into a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light.

The elderly woman, an 80-year-old passenger in the turning vehicle, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

The intersection was closed for several hours while members of the Windsor Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit processed the scene.
