Two suspects arrested after police recover stolen vehicle
The Windsor Police Service has arrested two suspects after recovering a stolen motor vehicle.
On December 28, 2025, a complainant reported her 2011 Ford Escape had been stolen from a parking lot in the 100 block of Bridge Avenue. Shortly before 8:30 a.m. the following day, an officer spotted the stolen vehicle travelling on Campbell Avenue near Rooney Street.
The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the vehicle’s two occupants without incident. Further investigation revealed that the male suspect was bound by court-ordered conditions prohibiting communication with the female suspect.
Jesse James O’Neil, 45, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000, and breach of probation (x2).
Mara Francis Coppola, 49, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000, and facilitating a breach of probation.
