Police arrest two suspects, seize $8,000 in cash and illegal drugs
The Windsor Police Service has arrested two suspects and seized over $8,000 in cash and illegal drugs.
Earlier this year, the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS) launched an investigation into two males suspected of drug trafficking. On December 18, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., officers from the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) located and arrested the suspects near the corner of Ouellette Ave. and Tecumseh Rd.
Incident to the arrests, officers seized 32.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 24.4 grams of cocaine, 10.3 grams of fentanyl, 28 tablets of hydromorphone (8mg), $1,685 in Canadian currency, $105 in U.S. currency, and a digital scale.
Additionally, a search of one suspect’s vehicle returned 6.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 3.6 grams of fentanyl, 0.9 grams of crack cocaine, 48 tablets of hydromorphone (8mg), $220 in Canadian currency, and a digital scale.
Following these arrests, officers executed a related search warrant at a location in the 1500 block of Pelissier St. The search returned a digital scale and packaging materials.
The total value of drugs seized in the operation was $6,192.
Mutasem Hassan, 24, and Ahmed Nejad, 24, have each been charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
