WINDSOR POLICE NEWS RELEASE
Case #: 25-129875
Man facing firearm and assault charges arrested for breaching bail
A 22-year-old man currently before the courts on firearm and assault charges has been arrested for breaching his bail conditions.
Last month, Tyrell Patterson was granted bail on charges related to an assault and a separate incident involving the alleged possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle. As part of his release, he was bound by court-ordered conditions that included residing with his surety while awaiting further proceedings.
During routine monitoring, bail compliance officers determined that Patterson had violated his court-ordered conditions and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Shortly after noon on December 18, 2025, bail compliance officers, with assistance from the Windsor Police Emergency Services Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad, located and arrested Patterson at a residence in the 1300 block of McEwan Avenue.
Patterson has been charged with two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
The arrest was led by bail officers from the Offender Management Unit, a joint initiative between the Windsor Police Service and the LaSalle Police Service launched in March 2024. The unit supervises high-risk individuals under court-ordered conditions such as house arrest, curfews, and electronic monitoring. It is funded through a provincial grant aimed at strengthening Ontario’s bail system.
Anyone with information about individuals violating their release conditions is asked to contact the Windsor Police Service at 519-255-6700. To remain anonymous, contact Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or visit www.catchcrooks.com.
