Suspect arrested in online child luring investigation
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 38-year-old man following an investigation into the online luring of a child.
In October 2025, the Peel Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit launched an investigation after receiving information about sexually explicit online communications involving a child on a social media platform. During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect had expressed sexual interest toward children.
Further investigation determined that the suspect lived in Windsor. The Windsor Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit took over the investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Bernard Drive on December 17, 2025.
As a result of the investigation, Jeffrey Scott Logan, 38, has been charged with the following offences:
- Telecommunication agreement to commit a criminal offence with a child under 16 – sexual interference
- Telecommunication agreement to commit a criminal offence with a child under 16 – sexual assault
- Telecommunication agreement to commit a criminal offence with a child under 16 – invitation to sexual touching
The Windsor Police Service reminds parents and caregivers that online safety starts at home. Steps to help protect children include:
- Know who your child is talking to: Regularly review friend lists and interactions on social media and gaming platforms.
- Keep communication open: Encourage children to report anything that makes them uncomfortable.
- Set boundaries: Use parental controls to limit access to apps, websites, and chat features.
- Stay informed: Learn about the platforms your child uses, as offenders often target popular games and messaging apps.
- Monitor privacy settings: Ensure profiles are private and personal information is not shared publicly.
