Three facing charges after guns, drugs seized

The Windsor Police Service has arrested three suspects and seized multiple guns, ammunition, and illegal drugs.

Earlier this month, the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS) launched an investigation into a 35-year-old man suspected of illegal firearm possession. Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on December 9, 2025, members of the Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2200 block of Charl Avenue. 

During the search, officers seized:

•             A Federation SPM 12-gauge shotgun

•              A Taiga Wolverine XM Sulun Arms 12-gauge shotgun

•              An SKS semi-automatic rifle

•              An EMEI TT9 & NSR-A 5.56mm semi-automatic rifle

•              A Kel-Tec Sub-2000 9mm semi-automatic carbine

•              Various quantities of firearm ammunition

Officers also recovered 756.9 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, three cellphones, and approximately $25,000 in Canadian currency.

Thomas Francis Vaillancourt, 35, has been charged with:

•              Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm

 •              Unsafe storage of a firearm (x2)

•              Having ammunition readily available

•              Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

Two additional suspects present at the residence were also arrested. Ryan Aaron Bogden, 40, and Matthew Joseph Gyori, 38, have each been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
