Suspect arrested after break-in at west-end restaurant


The Windsor Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection to a break-and-enter at a west-end restaurant.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m. on November 23, 2025, a lone suspect forced open the back door of a restaurant in the 1700 block of Wyandotte Street West and entered the premises. While inside, the suspect stole money and a laptop. Surveillance video captured the incident, showing the suspect wearing a red bandana partially covering his face.

Following an investigation by the Windsor Police Target Base Unit, the suspect was quickly identified as 53-year-old Robert Rockwood. On November 25, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers located and arrested Rockwood in the 2700 block of Howard Avenue.

He has been charged with break-and-enter and wearing a disguise to commit an offence.
