19 arrested in three-day initiative in the Glengarry neighbourhood

The Windsor Police Service arrested 19 people over three days as part of ongoing efforts to improve community safety in the Glengarry neighbourhood.

From November 20 to 22, 2025, members of the Problem-Oriented Policing Unit (POP), in partnership with the Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation, conducted a targeted operation at apartment buildings in the 300 and 400 blocks of Glengarry Avenue.

Over the course of the three-day operation, officers made 19 arrests and laid 36 criminal charges. Charges included break-and-enter, robbery, assault and failure to comply with a release order.

These enforcement actions are part of a sustained, high-visibility program by Windsor Police and local partners aimed at reducing crime and supporting residents in the Glengarry Avenue area.

The Windsor Police Service remains committed to delivering essential support to those in need while safeguarding the community.

“This operation is part of our ongoing commitment to public safety in Glengarry,” said Staff Sergeant Brian Caffarena. “Beyond addressing criminal activity, we continue to work closely with our health and human services partners to support residents and enhance the overall quality of life in the neighbourhood.”
