Accused drug trafficker arrested twice in three months for bail violations
A 29-year-old man on probation for firearm and drug trafficking convictions has been arrested for the second time in three months for violating his bail conditions.
In March 2023, Kyle Allen Williston was found guilty of possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, assault, and failure to comply with a non-communication order. As part of his sentence, he was prohibited from possessing weapons.
Williston was granted bail on new charges in October 2024, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of breach of probation, and failure to comply with a release order. His bail conditions required him to reside with his surety, remain under house arrest, and comply with electronic monitoring.
Bail compliance officers later determined he had breached several conditions. On September 4, 2025, officers arrested Williston in the 2600 block of Howard Avenue and found a concealed knife on him. He was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order and one count of breaching probation, then released on new conditions. His surety was also arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of a release order. Williston was again released on bail on October 20, 2025.
A new investigation by bail compliance officers in November found that Williston had again breached multiple conditions of his release orders. On November 20, bail compliance officers arrested him in the 3000 block of Jefferson Blvd.
Williston has been charged with failure to comply with a release order (x2).
The bail compliance officers are part of the Offender Management Unit, a partnership between the Windsor and LaSalle Police Services that supervises high-risk individuals under house arrest, curfew, or electronic monitoring. The unit is supported by a Government of Ontario grant as part of the province’s strategy to strengthen Ontario’s bail system.
