Suspect arrested for first-degree murder of intimate partner
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 29-year-old man for first-degree murder following a fatal incident of intimate partner violence.
Shortly after 3 a.m. on November 12, 2025, officers observed a vehicle being driven dangerously in the area of Chatham Street East and Goyeau Street. Police stopped the motorist and arrested him for stunt driving.
During the arrest, officers noticed the suspect had a large amount of dried blood on his face and body. Further investigation led officers to a residence in the 1100 block of Langlois Avenue, where they found a woman showing no vital signs.
The 26-year-old victim was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The suspect faces a charge of first-degree murder. His name will be released following his arraignment in court.
This is the fourth homicide in Windsor so far this year. Additional details will not be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.
