Case #: 25-113095
Man facing IPV charges arrested for violating bail conditions
A 42-year-old man facing intimate partner violence (IPV) charges has been arrested for violating his bail conditions.
The suspect was first arrested in March 2025 on several IPV-related offences, including assault, assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with a release order. He was arrested again in July for an additional breach of his release conditions.
In September, the man was granted bail with multiple conditions, including not to possess a weapon, a curfew between midnight and 1 a.m., electronic monitoring, and a requirement to reside with his surety at a Windsor address.
Earlier this month, bail compliance officers investigated and determined that the man had again violated his bail conditions.
On October 30, officers located and arrested the suspect in the 1400 block of Ouellette Avenue. During his arrest, he was found to be in possession of an expandable baton, bear spray, 12.2 grams of cocaine and 0.8 grams of fentanyl.
He now faces additional charges of failure to comply with a release order (x2), possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and unlawful possession of a schedule I substance.
To protect the identity of the victim, the suspect’s name will not be released.
The bail compliance officers are part of the Offender Management Unit, a partnership between the Windsor Police Service and LaSalle Police Service to supervise high-risk individuals placed under house arrest, curfew, or electronic monitoring. The Offender Management Unit is supported through a grant from the Government of Ontario, as part of the provincial government’s strategy to strengthen Ontario’s bail system.
