WINDSOR POLICE NEWS RELEASE
Case #: 25-109345
Man facing firearm charges arrested for violating bail conditions
A 24-year-old man facing firearm-related charges has been arrested for violating his bail conditions.
In September 2025, Ibrahim Al-Ahmad was granted bail on multiple charges, including unauthorized possession of firearm, possession of firearm knowing possession was unauthorized, possession of restricted or prohibited firearm with ammunition, careless use or storage of a firearm, possession of firearm in a motor vehicle, and failure to comply with release order (x2). As part of his release, Al-Ahmad was placed under house arrest, electronic monitoring, and required to reside with his surety at an address in LaSalle.
During a routine bail compliance check, officers discovered that Al-Ahmad had breached the conditions of his release.
On October 16, 2025, bail compliance officers located and arrested Al-Ahmad in the 7000 block of Disputed Road in LaSalle. He has been charged with failure to comply with a release order.
Officers also arrested his surety, 22-year-old Issa Al-Ahmad, and charged her with facilitating a breach of a release order. A surety is an individual who agrees to supervise an accused person while they are out on bail and ensure compliance with their court-imposed conditions.
The bail compliance officers are part of the Offender Management Unit, a partnership between the Windsor and LaSalle Police Services to supervise high-risk individuals placed under house arrest, curfew, or electronic monitoring. The Offender Management Unit is supported through a grant from the Government of Ontario, as part of the provincial government’s strategy to strengthen Ontario’s bail system.
