Suspect arrested after assault investigation
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with an assault that left a woman with serious injuries.
Shortly after 6 a.m. on October 20, 2025, officers responded to a report of a man armed with a knife at an apartment in the 400 block of Glengarry Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a female victim suffering from visible injuries.
Through investigation, officers learned that the victim and a friend had visited a resident in the building. A verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation during which the victim was assaulted and threatened with a knife before fleeing the apartment.
Officers located the suspect still inside the apartment and placed him under arrest.
Khalid Omer Abdella, 32, has been charged with the following offences:
• Assault causing bodily harm
• Assault with a weapon
• Assault
• Uttering death threats
• Breach of probation
• Failure to comply with a release order
