Suspect charged with second-degree murder
The Windsor Police Service has charged a man with second-degree murder following a fatal altercation in which the victim was pushed down a flight of stairs.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m. on October 16, 2025, officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the 3100 block of Wyandotte Street West. Once on scene, officers determined that a physical confrontation had occurred inside the home, and that a 53-year-old male sustained life-threatening injuries after being pushed down the stairs. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was transported to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators identified the suspect as 45-year-old Kevin Christopher Harris. Later that afternoon, Harris turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters and was charged with second-degree murder.
This is the third homicide in Windsor so far this year.
