UPDATE: Police searching for third suspect in murder investigation

Following the arrest of two suspects, the Windsor Police Service is searching for a third person in connection with the murder of 37-year-old David Pavao.

The third suspect, identified only as “Colin,” is wanted for his role in the homicide of Pavao, who has not been seen since the early morning hours of August 14, 2025. “Colin” is described as a white male in his late 20s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a flower or rose tattoo on the back of his hand. He is known to frequent Windsor’s west end and downtown areas.

While Pavao’s remains have not yet been recovered, a thorough investigation by the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit determined that he was killed on or around August 14.

Through their work, investigators quickly narrowed their focus to two suspects. On October 15, 2025, 54-year-old Shane Ladouceur was charged with first-degree murder and indecent interference with a deceased body, while 49-year-old Marie Christine Hannah was charged as an accessory after the fact to murder and for indecent interference with a deceased body.

Investigators are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating the third suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4830. They can also contact Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
